KATHMANDU, March 18 : A woman who was at risk of losing her life after she suffered excessive bleeding was rescued from a remote village in the district. A Nepal Army helicopter rescued her from Nepka village in ward no. 5 of Changkheli rural municipality.
Reuli Tamang had a miscarriage on March 12 and since then she was suffering from continuous bleeding. She underwent treatment at the local health post, but that could not stop the bleeding and hence needed to be airlifted from the area, that is at a three days walking distance from the district headquarters, according to Assistant CDO Mahesh Kumar Pokharel. Tamang was taken to the Bheri Zonal Hospital in Nepalgunj via the helicopter.
